Driven Overhead Conveyors OHC-D

  1- Features

The simple and proven construction of the OHC-D family of overhead conveyors consists of special carts that run inside a suspended track. The carts are joined by a chain which is driven by an electrical reducer and a special sprocket.

Tracks can be made to change direction, thus offering a flexible solution to handling problems requiring overhead conveyors.

  2- Characteristics

Low friction carts are grouped or joined by special frames suited to the items being suspended. The cart assemblies run inside a C channel, which is suspended using special hangers on a rigid supporting frame. The channel and support can follow complex closed paths, covering a wide area.

Carts are joined by special chains which provide the traction element for the overhead system.

A special reducer coupled to a sprocket pulls the carts.

The suspended frames can be supplied with electric power through special electric brush carts running inside special power distribution bus bars.

  3- Applications.

OHC-D Overhead conveyors are used in assembly lines, paint lines, processing lines, etc…

They can carry weights of several hundred kilograms, and can be made to change directions easily.

Overhead conveyors type OHC-D carrying test equipment for example, can be synchronized with chain conveyors CHA to perform electrical testing while the items are moving along the assembly line.
